My Post Mohs Nose- 2 weeks post-op

Well, the surgi-strips fell off today- which was a momentus occasion as I finally got to wash my entire nose!!!! Although, this picture was taken this evening after a long day in the kitchen, so you aren't seeing what I saw this morning. I let the hubby see the post mohs nose before I did. He actually didn't notice the surgistrips were missing until I pointed it out. There was no sound this time so I quickly went and looked at myself. I can see how my nose looks different, but you can be the judge of the before and after mohs surgery nose. As you can see from the profile the dent in my nose is leveling out.... so we will see. Overall, I am pleased with my nose and Mohs Surgery.

Your nose looks really good! Thanks again for posting the photos. It's been about a week and a half since my surgery, and I'm also happy with the results. The scar is pretty minimal and, as soon as I can cover it with makeup, it should look pretty good. For now, per my doctor's instructions, I have to cover it with Aquaphor which is shiny and kind of highlights the scar. But...it's better than the potentially disfiguring basal cell carcinoma, for sure.

Aquaphor? Cool, I hadn't thought of that. I was doing Mederma and vitamin E. I will have to look into that. Thanks for the info.... and thanks for telling me my nose looks good. It is great to hear that!

Your nose looks great--my husband just had exactly the same thing done--on the bridge of the nose, and his incision is a little longer and so the dent is,too. I'd be curious to see how it is now- 3 years later!

Your nose looks better than mine and mine just need one layer to rid the cancer. I had my stitches out today and it's scabbed and ugly but your 2 wk post pics are encouraging..Anyway, what I really wanted to do was thank you for the website. It was a very sweet thing for you to do and I hope your cancer issues are behind you forever.

Thanks so much for your blog. I had two biopsies come back today, both BCC. One on my chest between my neck muscles and the other on the bridge of my nose, exactly where my glasses sit.

Mohs surgery appt in 3 weeks.
